Introduction

MYFitnessPal is a fitness and health app for Android. It features food tracking and exercise progress tracking, detecting calories burned with each meal and tracking workout progress. It also creates personalized workout plans based on individual user needs, allowing users to maintain efficient exercise while enjoying a comfortable diet. MYFitnessPal connects to various mobile devices and smartwatches for more accurate tracking and analysis of workout progress. Users can view relevant charts and reports at any time. Furthermore, MYFitnessPal boasts an active community where users can share workout records, encourage each other, and continuously motivate one another.

Features

Extensive Food Tracking

MYFitnessPal provides a vast global food database, covering restaurant dishes and packaged foods. You can record complete calorie information for each meal and view the macronutrient and micronutrient content of each serving. It also allows you to save meals and recipes for easy re-tracking with just a few taps later.

Personalized Goals and Insights

This app uses your information to estimate your basal metabolic rate using the Mifflin-Sanjohr equation and takes your body mass index (BMI) into account upon registration. It then sets daily calorie and macronutrient goals based on your objectives and activity levels. You can track calories, macronutrients, vitamins and minerals, water, weight, steps, and exercise in a single control panel and view progress over time for better self-understanding.

Smart Tracking and Dietary Choices

To speed up tracking, the premium version adds barcode scanning, meal scanning, and voice recording. The premium version also allows you to set custom macronutrient goals, and if you're following a low-carb or ketogenic diet, you can use a net carb mode. A hydration tracker helps you track your water intake, while an intermittent fasting tracker is included in the premium version for users who need to control their eating times.

Connecting Apps, Devices, and Wearables

MyFitnessPal syncs with over 35 apps and devices, automatically importing activity and health data into your schedule. On Android, it connects to Google Fit, Health Connect, Samsung Health, Fitbit, Garmin, and smart scales, reducing manual input. Wear OS supports adding tiles and complications, allowing you to record data directly on your watch and easily capture moments without taking out your phone.

User Reviews

So far, it's been great. I've only used it for a few days to count calories, but it performs excellently in this area. Simply find the food/brand in your daily log and enter the calorie content. One thing I like is that if I'm in a hurry, or sometimes the app doesn't have a specific food I want to track, I can do a "quick entry" and directly enter the calories I just ate. If you're looking for a calorie tracking app, it's definitely worth downloading.

In my opinion, the premium version is worth the money. I absolutely love the ease of use and the amount of information this app provides. The barcode scanner and recipe import features make tracking my diet incredibly easy. The app records all the nutrients I consume each day, helping me easily reach my goals. Of all the calorie tracking apps I've tried, this is the best. Many other apps are moving towards AI tracking, but I don't think AI is accurate, and I hate using it. I'm glad MyFitnessPal doesn't use AI.

In preparation for my upcoming three-month trip to Southeast Asia, I'm working out hard. I want to not only feel good, but also look great. So I started going to the gym, signed up for some fitness apps, and prepared to start recording macronutrients again. My Fitness Pal has always been my go-to app; it's very user-friendly, well-structured, and they keep updating it.

I've been using this app for a long time and have always loved it! It helped me lose 70 pounds (about 32 kg), and I'm incredibly grateful for it and appreciate the excellent customer service! Therefore, I recommend restoring the swipe-to-swipe feature for each day. The recent update removed this feature, which made the app less user-friendly. I eat the same thing for breakfast every day, so being able to quickly swipe to switch and copy a breakfast is really convenient!MyFitnessPal
