How to Play

Spin Attack

While Sonic is moving, press the Down directional button to begin spinning. This move can be used to attack and destroy enemies, and it allows Sonic to reach extremely high speeds when traveling down slopes.

Spin Dash

While Sonic is stationary, hold both the Down directional button and the Jump button. Release the buttons to send Sonic surging forward in a spinning dash.

Rev-Up Dash (Stationary Acceleration)

While Sonic is stationary, hold both the Up directional button and the Jump button. Sonic will begin running in place. Release the buttons to propel Sonic forward at a very high speed. Unlike the Spin Attack, this move leaves Sonic more vulnerable to enemy attacks. It is highly effective for climbing slopes and is an essential technique for achieving the fastest times in Time Attack mode.
