Introduction

Sonic 4 Episodes I and II is a platforming game designed for Android devices, offering a fast-paced 2D gameplay experience. The game features five distinct zones, each with multiple branching paths and challenging boss encounters. It retains the responsive controls and high-definition visual detail characteristic of the series, while allowing players to shift the pace of gameplay as they navigate unique routes. The experience is driven by an engaging narrative, with support for game controllers and cloud saves. Additionally, a leaderboard system provides players with a sense of achievement.

Features

Fast 2D Zones and boss battles

You race through five Zones with shortcuts and branching routes. Across the episode there are seven boss battles that build on classic patterns. The modern engine keeps movement responsive and shows HD detail. Music by Jun Senoue sets the pace for each stage.

Team mechanics with Tails

Beyond standard runs, you can call on Tails to perform Rolling, Copter, and Submarine combos when layouts demand it. Rolling breaks walls and opens hidden paths. Copter keeps Sonic airborne over gaps and hazards. Submarine lets you dive and steer through underwater areas with more control.

Episode Metal unlocked

You can switch to Episode Metal for a change of pace, available from the start. You play as Metal Sonic across reworked Acts from Episode I. This mode offers a different path and reveals parts of the story that connect back to Sonic CD. Switching between the main episode and Episode Metal keeps progress clear.

SEGA Forever options and controller support

To round out the package, Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Ep. II includes play free with ads or ad free through a one time purchase. Leaderboards and cloud saves are included for tracking and backup. HID compatible controllers are supported for precise input. Once you download Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Ep. II, a gamepad can improve consistency compared to touch.
