I've been playing this game for a while now and find it quite fun; the premise is interesting. The defense towers look cool and definitely give a sense of power. The game's scenery and pacing are also great and enjoyable.

I don't understand why everyone says this game is too difficult. I played on normal difficulty, and it felt just right. Although there were occasional minor setbacks, the overall difficulty was moderate. I easily completed the free version on my first playthrough. Surprisingly, the expansion packs are actually harder. Considering the investment in developing this game, I think it's definitely worth the money. What surprised me most was the lack of a multiplayer mode. If the developers added a multiplayer mode, along with some microtransactions, they could definitely make a fortune. Of course, there's nothing particularly special about it; it's just adding some options behind the paywall. Adding a competitive ranking system would greatly enhance the game's replayability. They could even sell cosmetic items alone. The multiplayer mode has huge potential. This game might just need more promotion to succeed, and it should perform better on platforms like Steam because it doesn't require much thought or strategy, which might not appeal to children.

I loved the game's opening and premise so much that I bought the REDCON 1 upgrade pack and just finished the campaign. I thought it was awesome! Some people say the difficulty curve is steep, which is true, but you just need to find the enemy's weak points and then arm your fortress accordingly. Of course, I played on easy mode with all weapons unlocked, so it was much easier than playing with only the basic weapons. I think if you enjoy the beginning of the game and have the budget, the upgrade pack is definitely worth it; the game only gets better and better, and the ending is great. However, if you don't buy REDCON 1 and don't have all the weapons available, the game is more difficult, but the challenge makes the game more rewarding. I think it's best to choose easy mode for your first playthrough. Overall, it's a great game!
