In short this is a great port of the legendary Super Nintendo game. Touch controls are okay but not great (esp in active combat and puzzles), but that's the roughest edge here. Also unlike the older version you can now play in airplane mode! Boss battles are punishingly hard as always. For those new to the game, welcome to one of the most gobsmackingly beautiful 16-bit games of all time. This game is overflowing with charm, humanity, and ambition. A must play for RPG fans!
Enjoying the game so far...and i got past the rat! Tip: while using the touch control to chase the rat, use your OTHER thumb to hit the screen. I don't know why, but i was using the thumb I was navigating with to also try and tap the rat, too... And it's easier to catch it from the bottom, going up. My only problem is, my sound goes out when my screen times out... and the only way I see to fix it, is to fully close out the game, and re-initiate it. The games no fun without the music...
It's probably one of the best RPGs from the 90s golden age of RPGs on the SNES. I've had literally no issues with this version. I also use the Backbone controller for mobile phone devices, and that improves the experience greatly (never use touch controls if you don't have to). Some of the other minor issues other reviewers talk about did not happen to me. A fun trip down nostalgia lane.

Summarize
The Android Upgrade Ver. brings the 1995 role-playing classic CHRONO TRIGGER to modern screens with higher-resolution graphics, revised sound, autosaving, and faster battle options. Its defining strength remains the same: an adventure that uses time travel to connect several eras, a memorable party, and choices that lead to multiple endings.
