Introduction
Angry Birds Rio is an adventure game for Android devices featuring over 400 levels. It also includes 72 hidden levels that offer generous rewards upon completion, providing excellent replay value. Players must solve physics-based puzzles by calculating trajectories to overcome obstacles and dismantle structures—aiming to bring down the entire build and crush the pigs beneath the collapsing cages. The game features a variety of birds, each with unique abilities, set against diverse Rio-themed backdrops.
Features
Twelve episodes and hundreds of levels
Angry Birds Rio includes more than 400 levels across 12 Rio-themed episodes, plus 72 bonus stages to discover. The large selection supports steady progress without repeating the same layouts too often. You can work through episodes in order or revisit earlier stages to improve scores.
Story connection with Blu and Jewel
The Angry Birds Rio game ties directly into the Rio and Rio 2 films as you rescue Blu and Jewel. City locations, rooftops, beaches, and festival scenes frame each chapter so the setting is easy to recognize. This context keeps goals clear while you focus on solving each layout.
Physics puzzles with cages and collapsible builds
You face cages, obstacles, and pig-built supports that react to impact and gravity. Shots that target weak points can make a whole structure shift, so placement matters more than speed. As you move forward, layouts combine different materials and angles that ask for careful aim.
Boss encounters that reward timing
At key points, boss battles test precision and patience. In Angry Birds Rio, you will watch movement patterns, adjust aim, and wait for the right window to land an effective hit. Winning these stages depends on steady timing rather than constant rapid firing.
Power ups and flexible progression
Power ups add options when a level feels tough. Call the Flock brings in macaw allies for extra impact, while a Power Potion can super size any bird for a stronger strike. Hidden objects appear within episodes and unlock bonus levels, and quick retries make it simple to test a new approach without long delays.

Game guide
World 1, Level 2: This prickly fruit is hidden in a box to the left of your bird chums. Just fire any of your fowl friends backwards to smash the crate and save the fruit.
World 1, Level 6: There’s one wooden crate on this stage that stands out: it’s not reinforced with metal and it has a suspicious label stuck on its side. A pineapple is inside: smash it open to grab it.
World 1, Level 7: As before, this pineapple is hidden in a crate - at the very bottom right of the box stack - with a label. Fire a blue bird high in the air and if your aim is true it’ll land and smash the box. It might take a couple of hits to crack it.

this game is really fun! it's a great way to play more traditional angry birds unlike ab2. lots of new levels regularly keep the game from going stale, and is the best free option for traditional ab! some of the levels might be a bit pay to win, but it's not like there is a premium currency that's only available scarcely for free. downloaded yesterday and but 90 minutes into it no intrusive ads other than pause menu ads for other games.
Wow. I used to play THE original in the past, but this HAS to be the 2.0 version! Nice job, Rovio. It's very nostalgic to the way the original used to be. The only bird that seems useless is that orange one that puffs up. Other than that, the game's AWESOME Edit: I've also noticed that levels and backgrounds change for the same levels you've played each time you uninstall it. Great job on keeping variety and avoiding boredom
I love this game! its really fun and resembles the first game but WAY better! my only complaint is that Green bird has barely any sprites and he looks emotionless for a majority of the game, using his idle sprite for everything, please guve Hal more sprites, wonderful game!

Conclusion
Angry Birds Rio doesn’t offer anything revolutionary. However, the developers have managed to preserve the original addictive gameplay while giving it an aesthetic facelift. Also, if you or your kids are fans of the movie Rio, it will be fun to interact with Blu and Jewel. Overall, it is a fun addition to the Angry Birds franchise.
