User comments:
Shades is a true sequel to SHFT 2. Unlike the Easter egg-like storylines in SHFT 3, this game is a genuine extension of the main storyline. Aside from differences in software architecture and gameplay, Shades completely adopts the combat style and game assets of SHFT 2.
Childhood memories, a sequel to catch up, no explanation needed. It's mostly a nostalgia factor. Although the background music and controls are basically the same, it's nostalgic for some players (I haven't played SHFT 3, but I've seen videos). The game is quite fun. Why do enemies also heal when we heal? Enemy health should stay in place; it's too much! And why doesn't it automatically restore full health after defeating each enemy?

Advantages and disadvantages:
Pros
Unique and different from previous releases
Roguelike elements
New enemies and Shades
Cons
Frequent frame drops

Conclusion:
If you're a fan of fighting game series and looking for something new, Shades is definitely worth a try. It retains the series' beautiful art style and fluid combat while incorporating the unpredictability and challenge of a roguelike game. While different from its predecessors, this attempt is a great success. Why not experience it for yourself?
